The İstanbul Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has filed a lawsuit against the three people who were briefly arrested as part of the operations against the waste paper workers in Ümraniye district.

Following the ruling AKP’s Üsküdar Municipality, the Ümraniye Municipality has also tried to prevent the opposition-led İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality teams from setting up a new cheap bread buffet in the district. Citizens have protested.

The lawyers of the Return to Life trial complained to the HSYK because defendants have not been brought to court, statements were not taken for eight years, hearings are being continuously postponed and because a member of the court board fell asleep during a hearing.
