İstanbul Bar Association Chair Mehmet Durakoğlu and lawyer Turgut Kazan have spoken to bianet about the reversal of the court order imposing access block on bianet by saying “It was done by mistake”.

Examining the application of imprisoned businessperson and rights defender Osman Kavala after two years, the Constitutional Court has ruled by a majority vote that there is no violation of rights committed by his arrest.

The Constitutional Court will examine the application of Osman Kavala in its meeting on May 22. Speaking to bianet, lawyer Turgut Kazan has stated that “the court should give its judgement by considering its own prestige and without feeling any fear.”
