Upon the application of the Ankara Branch of the Chamber of Architects, the 6th Chamber of the Council of State has halted the execution of the Presidential decision designating the Castle of Nevşehir and its environs as a “Renovation Site”.

Commenting on the court ruling cancelling the changes in the development plan of the Dikmen Valley, which would zone green spaces for construction, Chamber of Architects’ Ankara Chair says, “The judiciary has found our struggle justified.”

The Ankara 6th Administrative Court has annulled the decision of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization that allowed buildings such as car parks and wedding halls as part of a landscape project in the Atatürk Forest Farm.

Making a statement about the court verdict on Historical Bartın Occupational High School, the Ankara Branch of the Chamber of Architects says, “Justice delayed is justice denied. We will struggle to ensure that the building will be constructed again.”

Referring to the ruling on the status of Hagia Sophia, the Chamber of Architects is preparing to take legal action to demand that Atatürk Forest Farm, where the Presidential Complex is also located, be returned to its original in line with the last will of Atatürk.
