Socialist revolutionary Mahir Çayan and his friends, who were massacred in Kızıldere in 1972, were commemorated on their death anniversary.

Joining a parliamentary group meeting of the DTP, peace activists expressed their support for the party. In a speech, Mater said that DTP was a necessary partner in a search for a solution to the Kurdish Question.

Mater from the Global Peace and Justice Coalition believes that NATO should be disbanded. He adds, “Obama is sending 17,000 soldiers to Afghanistan. He is not bringing peace.”
