Police Seizes Grave Stones, Detains Homeless in Gezi Park
Police once more seized the grave stones in the park symbolically dedicated to those who died during Gezi Resistance. This morning’s police intervention also resulted in the detention of 16 homeless people and a human rights activist from Germany.

"Iftar Detainees" Released
Detained after attempting to break their Ramadan fasts in Gezi Park, 6 individuals have been released. While four detainees were released after their testimonies to police and prosecutors, Haluk Ağabeyoğlu and Ahmet Batal have been released after their testimony to a court.

Sabri Çelebi, a man who attacked Gezi Park demonstrators with a machete, has been released by a court. “All newspaper covering the issue before final court decision are responsible for this,” advocate Hacer Yılmaz told bianet.

Ali Ismail Korkmaz, Gezi Resistance Protestor, Dies at 19
University student Ali Ismail Korkmaz (19), a Gezi Resistance protestor who was severely battened by a group of casually-dressed people on June 3, died in a hospital in the central province of Eskişehir. While attackers have yet to be identified, related surveillance camera recordings turned out to be “damaged”.

TIHV REPORT CITES POLICE VIOLENCE
“Doctors Battered, Equipment Destroyed”
Human Right Foundation of Turkey (TIHV) released a report, saying that 3,413 people were detained and 94 arrested during Gezi Resistance. The report cited the detailed experiences of those who were subjected to police or hit by gas bombs canisters.

Arrest Order of Doctors For “Tourniquets, Plasters”
A court ordered the arrest of 7 defendants who were detained and released during Gezi Park protests. Tourniquets and plasters were listed as “crime instruments” of a jailed protestor - who is a medical doctor. Other evidence included construction helmets.

“We Worry that Police Violence Might Go Unpunished”
During the Gezi Resistance across Turkey, police violence left 4 protestors dead and 7,882 injured with 59 gravely injured. 71 demonstrators have been arrested for “public property damage”. Advocate Efkan Bolaç informed that no violent perpetrator police officers (except one) have yet to be arrested or prosecuted.

Turkish Doctors Union (TTB) released a statement, saying that at least 7,822 people were injured with 59 in serious condition. 4 protestors lost their lives and 11 lost eyesight, TTB said.

Standing-still Man in Taksim
Last night, a man stood still in Taksim Square and did not move at all for hours. Became viral on social media as “duranadam” (standing-still man), the man inspired many others to join him. Around 2 am local time, police detained those who were standing still with “duranadam”.

450 Missing, 169 Detained in Istanbul
Following police attacks, Istanbul’s crisis desk received 450 missing and detention applications. At the moment, 169 individuals are still waiting in Istanbul’s Police Headquarters. The detention tolls are 116 in Ankara and approximately 30 in Eskişehir.

A delegation from Taksim Solidarity has been received by PM Erdoğan last night in Ankara. The government spokesperson Hüseyin Çelik made a declaration after the meeting, saying that they will wait for court’s final decision on the future of Gezi Park and go on a plebiscite no matter the outcome of the ongoing prosecution. He also pledged that the government will make necessary investigations on police violence and take necessary measures.
