Turkey's precautions in Sulaymaniyah are very effective, says the written statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Starting on October 1, the Slemani Film Festival will show 120 films from 57 countries. Adopting the “Earth Cancer” as its theme to raise environmental and ecological awareness, the festival will predominantly feature films of Kurdish directors from Turkey.

A three-day mourning has been declared in Sulaymaniyah, the biggest city in Kurdistan Regional Government, for Afrin. Newroz celebrations in the city have also been cancelled.
