In the trial of the soldiers who participated in the coup attempt on July 15, 2016 and some of whom fled to Greece afterwards, the Public Prosecutor’s Office has demanded that 10 defendants be sentenced to life imprisonment.

FM Çavuşoğlu has stated that following Greece not extraditing eight soldiers who fled to Greece in the wake of July 15 coup attempt, necessary steps including cancelling readmission agreement between Greece and Turkey will be taken.
