58 Percent Said "Yes" to Constitutional Reform Package
99 percent of all ballot boxes were opened by 8.30 pm on Sunday night (12 September). The referendum on the constitutional amendments was approved by 58 percent of all votes counted by then, 42 percent voted against the package with a turnout of voters amounting to 77 percent.

Turkey is going to the ballot on 12 September to vote on the Constitutional Reform Package. Electoral constituencies in eastern provinces close at 4.00 pm, and at 5.00 am in the rest of the country. More than 60 percent of the electorate is younger than 44 years and 40 percent live in 8 metropolises.
