Human Rights Association Deputy Chair and its Diyarbakır Bureau Chair Bilici has been released on probation following one week of detention.

The Human Rights Association Diyarbakır Branch has issued a statement about İHD Deputy Chair and Diyarbakır Branch President Raci Bilici being detained.

Human Rights Association Deputy Chair and Diyarbakır Branch Chair Raci Bilici was taken into custody in a house raid this morning.

Raci Bilici, head of the Human Rights Association’s Diyarbakır office, is among 4,350 teachers who have been suspended in Diyarbakır. Stating that education had almost come to a standstill in the province, Bilici said: “We demand reinstatement of our rights and an apology from the Government”.

İHD Diyarbakır branch Chairperson Raci Bilici, who has commented on PKK, killing 17 persons including soldiers, police and civilians in one day, and stated that “We saw multiple times that these actions don’t bring a solution, both government and PKK must turn away from violence.
