Former Nusaybin Mayor Ayşe Gökkan sentenced to 30 years in prison
Free Women’s Movement (TJA) Spokesperson Gökkan has been given a 30-year prison sentence on charge of “organization membership” twice. Gökkan and her lawyers did not make defense, citing the attitude of the court as the reason.

23-Year Prison Threat for Kurdish Politician
Peace and Democracy Party member Altan Tan is facing 23.5 years in prison on the grounds of attending a couple of meetings before the general elections held last June. He is charged with "propaganda" and "committing a crime on behalf of an organization".

Ağrı KCK Trial: Prison Sentences of almost 92 Years
Eleven people who stood trial in the scope of the KCK case in Ağrı were sentenced to imprisonment of 91 years and eleven months in total. The court did not hear their defence speeches because the defendants requested to speak Kurdish at the hearing.

Detained Journalist Kılınç Sentenced to Six Years in Jail
The Diyarbakır 5th High Criminal Court handed down a prison sentence of six years and nine months to journalist Ozan Kılıç, former concessionaire of the Azadiya Welat newspaper. Kılınç was charged with "spreading propaganda for an illegal organization".

Trial on Seven Speeches of Kurdish Politician Postponed
Ahmet Türk, former Co-Chair of the banned Democratic Society Party, is facing imprisonment of up to 45 years in a trial regarding seven different speeches. The case was postponed to 16 June for the preparation of the final speech of the prosecution.
