A scientific article written by Turkish academics and published in an international journal was retracted due to plagiarism. Among the authors of the paper are two professors who performed surgery on President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. These professors also serve on the board of the association that publishes the journal.

The Turkey-based Doğan Kitap Publishing House has released a statement for the press in response to the allegations that Elif Şafak plagiarized another book in writing her latest novel “10 Minutes 38 Seconds in This Strange World”.
