To be held in Ankara and İstanbul in September 2021, the 10th edition of the Pink Life Queer Fest will once again give film enthusiasts the opportunity to watch LGBTI+-themed films from different countries from all around the world.

The Pembe Hayat LGBTT association has announced that police officers have forced transgender sex workers to get in police cars in the capital city of Ankara and left the women in remote, desolate places of the city.

The activist and web editor of the Pembe Hayat LGBTT association Çayan Azadi has been subjected to a homophobic attack by his neighbors in Ankara. While the attackers have filed a complaint against Azadi, the police have not received Azadi’s complaint.

First hearing of the lawsuit, which has been brought by Pink Life Association concerning the Ankara Governorship’s decision to ban all LGBTI events, was held yesterday.

In its decision of refusal, the courts have asserted that “the decision of banning will not cause unrecoverable consequence and it is not openly contravening law”.

7th Pink Life QueerFest will be organized in İstanbul on January 27-28.

Celebrating its fifth year, Pink Life Queerfest draws attention through various ways of expression such as video, literature, theatre and music to the discrimination and violence against LGBTI persons.

Pink Life QueerFest celebrates their 5th edition with additions to its wide program. The Festival includes a short films competition for the first time, this year.
