Tens of thousands of people who gathered at Kadıköy/ Istanbul for the peace meeting on Sunday demanded democratic solution for the Kurdish problem. Deputies Uras and Ayna said that the best way to reply to the ruling party would be the local elections.

The peace meeting that will meet in three provinces on August 31 for the September 1 Peace Day defend peace against both sides, Kurdish and Turkish, armed struggle. They believe it is necessary to let know the decision makers and public that peaceful solution is possible.

Turkish Peace Assembly is inviting everyone to its “Turkey Is Meeting For Peace! Democratic Solution For The Kurdish Problem” meeting on August 31, to be held simultaneously in Diyarbakır, Adana and Istanbul.

The Peace Meeting had one banner: “Democratic solution to the Kurdish problem.” The speakers asked for immediate change in Kurdish policies, replacement of them with an approach that gives equal participation to Kurdish people, identity and culture.
