14 professional press organizations decided to establish a "Freedom for Journalists Platform" and a "Commission for Action" for journalists who are detained because of their writings. Head of the platform is the President of the Turkish Journalists Association Erinç.

The Turkish Journalists Association announced the laureates of the "Award for Successful Journalism in Turkey". Association President Erinç criticized that working conditions for journalists have worsened.

Turkish Journalists Society President Erniç criticized that issues like freedom of expression, the right to inform and journalists' work security and safety of life "are doomed to remain in hollow words". Journalists are controlled by postponing the pronouncement of judgement, Erinç said.
