President Erdoğan's former lawyer had sued Nazan Özcan over an article on bianet. The article did not contain "libel" and "defamation," according to the prosecutor.

The investigation has been opened after a complaint by a former lawyer of President Erdoğan, over 100 articles about whom were previously censored by courts.

Previously, a court had blocked 130 articles, including two news reports on bianet, about Mustafa Doğan İnal.
