The mothers of military students sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for “attempting to stage a coup” have announced that they will stage a sit-in protest at Sakarya Street in Ankara every Wednesday.

It has been nine days since the families have been protesting in front of HDP Diyarbakır Provincial Organization for their allegedly abducted children. The number of protesting families has increased to 20 as of September 10.

Women who have lost their children in the fighting of the last decades came together in Diyarbakır to call for peace.
