Pictures reveal mucilage density in the Sea of Marmara
The pictures taken by dentist Alper Altay from a boat in Bursa reveal the density of sea snot in the Marmara Sea. Altay says, “It was like the entire marina was covered in a concrete-like material. I was surprised. I didn’t think that mucilage was so dense.”

Ministry unveils action plan to tackle the sea snot problem in Marmara
Minister of Environment and Urbanization Murat Kurum examined the sea cleaning efforts in the Sea of Marmara amid the ongoing mucilage problem. The Ministry has unveiled a 22-point action plan to clear the sea from the sea snot.
