Organized by the Spor İstanbul, an affiliate of the İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality, this year’s İstanbul Marathon has been won by Sheila Jerotich from Kenya in the women’s category and Victor Kiplangat from Uganda in the men’s category.

About 4,000 runners have participated in the marathon that traditionally takes place on İstanbul's European and Asian sides.

The runners were asked to take off their t-shirts with Ali İsmail Korkmaz photo ahead of the İstanbul Marathon on the pretext that Korkmaz is a “political figure”.
