Journalists Müyesser Yıldız and İsmail Dükel have been indicted for “successively obtaining documents about state security.” This second indictment has been merged with the file of the ongoing main trial.

With the indictment accepted by the Ankara 26th Heavy Penal Court, journalist İsmail Dükel, arrested journalist Müyeser Yıldız and Sergeant Erdal Baran are now facing 6 years, 3 months to 17 years, 6 months in prison.

“TELE 1 Ankara Representative İsmail Dükel was detained at 7.30 a.m. this morning, the reason for his detention is unknown. The prosecutor’s office has given four days for detention,” TELE1 Editor-in-Chief Yanardağ has announced.
