Being prevented from gathering at Galatasaray Square since the 700th week, Saturday Mothers/People have asked the fate of Hüseyin Toraman, who disappeared in custody in 1991, in front of Human Rights Association’s building in Beyoğlu in the 709th week.

An application to obtain information about Hüseyin Toraman who "got lost" in police custody 20 years ago brought the prosecution to launch a preliminary investigation into the whereabouts of Toraman. The file will become time-barred on 27 October.

The Saturday Mothers/People gathered on Istanbul's Galatasaray Square for the 238th time to draw public attention to the disappearance of Hüseyin Toraman who was kidnapped from in front of his house 18 years ago. They also reminded disappearance of six peasants in Silopi 16 years ago.
