Study: Kurds in Türkiye think human rights situation worse than 90s
The results of a new study by Tahir Elçi Human Rights Foundation and Rawest show that Kurds living in different parts of Türkiye believe that mostly Kurds, women, children and poor are subjected to violations of human rights and that "the right to live" is a mostly violated right.

178 Deaths Mark the First Half of 2012 in the East
Some 15,109 rights violations took place in eastern Turkey during the first half of 2012, according to a report by the Human Rights Association (IHD.) A total of 56 security personnel and 122 militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) also lost their lives during the same period.

2009: 36 Deaths in Prison, 36 Deaths for Ignoring "Stop Warning"
According to the annual report of the Turkish rights organizations İHD and TİHV for 2009, 36 people died in prison, 6 in detention, 61 were shot by village guards, 36 died for ignoring the police's "stop warning". 50 soldiers and 91 armed militants died in conflicts.
