Metin Lokumcu case: Decision of lack of jurisdiction
Witnesses were heard at the second hearing of the trial over the killing of retired teacher Metin Lokumcu. Speaking about the day of the incident, witness Ustabaş said, “Those who went to the hospital to learn about his condition were attacked with bullets.”

A total of twelve people were arrested and imprisoned after the anti-government demonstrations in Hopa on 31 May. Three protestors in Ankara filed criminal complaints on the grounds of serious injuries suffered during the police intervention.

Six people were arrested after demonstrations related to Prime Minister Erdoğan's visit to Hopa. Ten people were released. A total of 31 protesters were taken into police custody during the anti-government demonstrations on 31 May.

Heavy clashes occurred between demonstrators and the police before and after a meeting of PM Erdoğan in Hopa in north-eastern Turkey. The police threw many gas bombs and made use of water cannons. One person died, many protestors and policemen were injured.
