His friends and family have met in front of Silivri Prison to celebrate the birthday of Yiğit Aksakoğlu, the Netherlands-based Bernard van Leer Foundation’s Representative to Turkey who has been behind bars since November 17, 2018.

Attorneys of rights defender Yiğit Aksakoğlu, who has been arrested as part of the investigation into the Gezi Park protests, have applied to the Constitutional Court on the ground that “his right to a fair trial has been violated.”

After Ahmet Saymadi, Haluk Ağabeyoğlu and Tayfun Kahraman, who gave their depositions as part of the investigation that was launched into Gezi Park protests, Mücella Yapıcı has also been summoned to depose at the security directorate.
