The Directorate General of Security has announced that 27 people have been detained over their social media posts about an incident where a child was sexually abused in Batman, allegedly by men including police officers, sergeants and village guards.

After it was reported in the press that 27 men including specialist sergeants, police officers and village guards sexually abused a child, one man from the same village has been arrested as part of the investigation launched into the incident.
