Upon the instruction of Mudanya Mayor Hayri Türkyılmaz, municipal police officers have forced Syrians out of beach in Mudanya, Bursa. Similar incidents have also been reported from Gemlik, another seaside district in Bursa.

The new Statutory Decree decree No. 696, released yesterday, has cleared the way for the removal of the olive groves in Bursa’s Gemlik district, population 107,000. CHP representative İrgil has stated that “this Statutory Decree is the death of these olive groves.”
