The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has announced that a process of tender has started to purchase five amphibious planes, five large tanker aircraft, 10 small tanker aircraft and 55 helicopters for firefighting efforts.

Mehmet Oktay, the Mayor of Marmaris in Muğla, has said that two firefighting helicopters came to the district this morning, but the fires are still raging in two spots.
