Ecosphere Association Campaigns Director Özgür Gürbüz has talked about the recent extreme weather events in the Aegean. Stressing that such events will increase gradually, he has called on the authorities to sign the Paris Agreement.

According to the data shared by Directorate General of Meteorology, the highest number of extreme temperatures were recorded in September 2020, when extreme temperatures were reported in 93 centers across the country.

With temperatures above seasonal normals in Turkey last month, the country witnessed record-high September temperatures in 93 centers. The average temperature in September has increased by 3.4 degrees to 23.9 degrees.
