Evrensel daily’s managing editor Çağrı Sarı and it’s former grant holder Arif Koşar have been sentenced to 5 months in prison for the report “Police rake people in Nusaybin: 3 injured”. Their punishment has been deferred.

4 Journalists Detained in Diyarbakır
Evrensel daily correspondents Hasan Akbaş, Fırat Topal, Serpil Berk and freelance journalist Sertaç Kayar have been taken into custody after reporting the offensive, which took place in Diyarbakır’s Sur district and claimed the lives of five civilians.
