The Parliamentary Human Rights Investigation Commission has prepared reports regarding their visits to the Tarsus and Kayseri Bünyan prisons. The reports have shown that quarantine wards in prisons are in a very bad condition.

In a statement released by the Directorate of Prisons amid debates on whether there is strip search in Turkey, it is said that “a detailed search is done if there is reasonable and strong suspicion that the person will bring in a forbidden material or object.”
