The Youth for Climate Turkey has launched a campaign, underlining that “the current education in Turkey is not sufficient in terms of climate change.”

Ministry of National Education has combined courses of language and expression, and Turkish literature taught in high schools. Subjects such as preparing script, blog, e-mail, short film have been included in the new course named Turkish language and literature.

Ünsal Yıldız, chairperson of Turkey's prominent educators union, said that they were encouraging their teacher members to keep "state-censored" classic literature pieces in their curriculum with the original version.

Alevi Bektashi Federation President Balkız criticized that the inclusion of Shiism in the curriculum will not solve any problems. "They will continue Sunni propaganda by using Shiism", he said.
