Turkey’s current account balance registered a 7.1 billion USD deficit in January, widening by 5.3 billion USD year-on-year, according to the Central Bank.

Current account balance had deficit of 1.75 billion dollars in July. The 12-month deficit became 54 billion 560 million dollars.

While the economy of Turkey has grown by 7.4 percent in the first quarter of 2018, the current account deficit in April 2018 has exceeded expectations.
