Branch chairs of Mutlu, Tuzluçayır, Keçiören and Eryaman Community Houses, who were taken into custody as part of an operation in Ankara and referred to court with a request for their arrest, have been released on probation.

In an operation launched in Ankara, the branch chairs of Mutlu, Tuzluçayır, Keçiören and Eryaman Community Houses have been taken into custody and a search has been conducted in the Community Houses in Tuzluçayır, Keçiören, Eryaman, İlker and Mutlu.

11 people including Community Houses Co-chair Aktaş have been released while Community Houses central board member Merinç has been released as well upon his lawyer’s request for release.

Lawyer Cankurt has said that normally sugar is given to those who go on hunger strike in detention but Community House members are not given sugar.

In the wake of detention of a large number of people including Community Houses Co-chair Aktaş, Community Houses Headquarters has issued a written statement. A protest has been staged in front of Community Houses.
