The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has sent a letter to Presidency’s Communications Director Fahrettin Altun. Calling for a press card reform, the Committee has said, “We urge you to abandon your hostile rhetoric toward journalists in Turkey.”

‘Turkey Still World’s Worst Jailer of Journalists’
According to a report released by the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), Turkey has become “the world’s worst jailer of journalists” for the third time in 2018. As announced by the CPJ, at least 68 journalists have been behind bars in Turkey.
