HDP Diyarbakır MP Taşçıer has submitted a Parliamentary question about Seyit Narin, a former Co-Mayor of Sur district who got sick in prison and whose request for being transferred from Rize to Diyarbakır, where his family lives, has been rejected.

Put on trial on the grounds of “co-mayorship”, former Dersim Co-Mayor Mehmet Ali Bul has been acquitted of the offense charged; the court has concluded that using the title of “co-mayor” does not constitute a crime.

Seven people, including HDP’s Karayazı Co-Mayor Melike Göksu in Erzurum, have been taken into custody. Among the detained are also Karayazı municipal council members.
