The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services has declared a children’s book featuring a “rainbow” story a “harmful publication”. The book will now be sold in an opaque envelope or package and only to those aged 18 and older.

An investigation was previously launched against writer Musa Dinç by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office of Didim in Aydın province.

Releasing a statement about the book which also has remarks legitimizing rape, the publishing house has said, “It is a publication which is outside our line of publication and was published by mistake and it was withdrawn from sale afterwards.”
