Diyarbakır 2nd Peace Court banned the publishing of Charlie Hebdo’s latest cover on websites.

Humor magazines Leman, Penguen and Uykusuz were released their new issues with a joint cover, saying “Je Suis Charlie”. Gırgır was released with only black cover.

The murders this week are not attacks against French freedom of speech, a tradition which has its own dark history, but it is one of many attacks on freedom of speech everywhere. The journalists at Charlie Hebdo are no more or no less heroes than the Iraqi, Syrian, Tunisian, or Algerian journalists who have been killed.

Journalists affiliated with various news organizations in Turkey protested the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris by releasing photos taken from their offices with the banner “Je suis Charlie”.

After the attack at Charlie Hebdo magazine headquarters in Paris that left 12 people dead, a group assembled outside French Consulate in downtown Istanbul, protesting the incident with one minute of silence and pencils.

Turkey’s caricaturists and humor writers condemned the attack on Charlie Hebdo that led to the death of 12 people including 4 caricaturists.
