Arrested pending trial as part of the retrial over the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), former HDP Diyarbakır MP Çağlar Demirel has been released.

The court has ordered continuation of arrest in trial of HDP’s Demirel, who is being charged with “terror organization membership”, “propagandizing for an illegal organization” and “attending illegal meetings and demonstrations”.

HDP Group Deputy Chair Demirel has been arrested on charges of “Being a member of a terror organization”, “Propagandizing for terrorism”. The number of arrested HDP MPs has risen to 11 with the arrest.
