After the Court of Cassation has overturned the prison sentence of former HDP Muş MP Burcu Çelik Özkan, she has been released from prison.

Her attorney has said that they expect Çelik-Özkan to be released after the ruling.

Erzurum Regional General Court has overturned the six-year prison sentence given to HDP MP Burcu Çelik Özkan, who has been under arrest for the past 306 days. The case will be tried again.

HDP delegation hasn’t been allowed to meet HDP Co-Chair Demirtaş and Hakkari MP Zeydan, who are arrested in Edirne, for not having a permission from the Ministry of Justice despite having one from Edirne Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Following the lifting of the parliamentary immunities, HDP Muş MPs Ahmet Yıldırım and Burcu Çelik Özkan have been summoned to prosecution to testify.
