'Journalists strong when united': BBC Turkish goes on strike
While the official inflation rate is 36 percent in Turkey, BBC has offered a 20-percent pay rise to its employees in its İstanbul bureau, protests the Journalists' Union of Turkey (TGS). After 13 years, the first strike has begun in the press sector in Turkey.
