Arrested pending trial for almost 10 months, journalist Aziz Oruç had his second hearing today. The jailed journalist has not been released in today’s hearing, either. His next hearing will be held on November 9, 2020.

Arrested since December 2019, journalist Aziz Oruç had his first hearing. While the court has released Muhammet İkram Müftüoğlu and HDP Doğubayazıt District Co-Chair Abdullah Ekelek on probation, it has ruled that the arrest of Oruç shall continue.

The court has accepted the indictment filed against Aziz Oruç. Among the criminal evidence cited against the jailed journalist are his likes for the Facebook pages of Roj News and İMC TV.
