The American Physical Society (APS) has awarded 2020 Andrei Sakharov Prize to Prof. Ayşe Erzan “for her lifelong commitment to human rights.”

The statement “We shall not be party to this crime” was an attempt to create public awareness regarding these events and also a plea for the repudiation of the policies of force, in favor of “seeking solutions for a lasting peace.”
