Penned by imprisoned former Co-Chair of the HDP Selahattin Demirtaş in Turkish, storybook “Devran” and novel “Leylan” have been translated into the Kurmanji dialect of Kurdish by Rêdûr Dîjle and published by Aram Publishing House.

HDP Diyarbakır deputy Sibel Yiğitalp asked the Ministry of the Interior a parliamentary question for detentions and police raid against Aram Publishing House, Azadiya Welat, Kurdi-Der and DİHA.

31 of 32 journalists who were detained by policemen last night in Diyarbakır were released.

Ten books published by the Aram Publishing Company became the subject of investigation on charges of "propaganda for an illegal organization via the media". The investigation also includes works of slain Kurdish writer Musa Anter.

Aram Publishing owner Bedri Adanır is tried for 38 books confiscated in a search and because of articles in 4 issues of the Kurdish Hawar newspaper. Adanır, editorial manager of the Hawar daily, has been in detention for more than 4 months now and faces 50 years imprisonment.

The prosecutor demanded to drop the case against publisher Taş regarding the book "The water of Avaşin is blue" by prescription. The Istanbul court acquitted Taş who stood accused of "spreading PKK propaganda". Another twelve cases are pending against the publisher.
