YouTube has activated its information panel about some TV channels in Turkey. While it labelled the state channel TRT as a “public broadcaster” and A Haber news channel as “funded by Turkish government”, it has removed the label on ATV.

Shortly after Presidency’s Communications Director Fahrettin Altun condemned the attack targeting the A Haber team in İstanbul’s Şile, he has been reminded by some social media users of the journalists subjected to police violence in Turkey.

Former AKP MP Ünsal, who has been summoned to depose as part of the investigation launched against 170 signatories of the Afrin letter, has spoken to bianet: “The targeting language of news led the Prosecutor’s Office to launch the investigation.”
