Military armored vehicles were sent to the district of Akçakale in Turkey's southeastern province of Urfa yesterday evening (September 22).
A military convoy of armored vehicles previously stationed in the 20th Armored Brigade Command in central Urfa have been referred to Akçakale on Turkey-Syria border. While the security of the military convoy was ensured by police and gendarmerie teams, it has been reported that 15 armored vehicles will be stationed in border posts.
National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE) and Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) teams were also referred to Turkey-Syria border last Friday (September 20).
It was also reported that the Directorate General for Administrative Services of Ministry of Health sent official letters to Provincial Directorates of Health, requesting that medical personnel in 19 provinces be directly commissioned as part of the planned cross-border operation.
Erdoğan gave 2-week time
Making a speech at the 2019-2020 Academic Year Opening Ceremony on Wednesday (September 18), President and ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Chair Recep Tayyip Erdoğan indicated that the members of the Constitutional Committee were approved at the Russia-Iran-Turkey trilateral summit, thereby resolving the difficulties in forming the committee.
Regarding the safe zone to be jointly established by the US and Turkey, Erdoğan said, "It has especially strengthened the resulting of safe zone works that we carry out with the US. As we have indicated, if no result comes out of here in two weeks, we will set our own operation plan in motion". (RT/SD)
