One of the two owners of the fireworks factory where an explosion occurred on July 3 has been remanded in custody for "causing deaths and injury of more than one person by negligence" while the other has been released on the condition of judicial control measures.
Seven people lost their lives and more than 120 were wounded in the explosion at Büyük Coşkunlar Fireworks company's factory in Hendek district of the northwestern Sakarya province.

Ali Rıza Coşkun and his son, Yaşar Coşkun, were detained yesterday. After giving statements at Sakarya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Yaşar Coşkun was remanded in custody and Ali Rıza Coşkun was released by a penal judgeship of peace.
The explosion occurred at around 11.15 a.m. on July 3 and was heard from different places in the province. While 122 people have been discharged from treatment, four are still at the hospital.
Managing director A.A., occupational safety specialist A.B. and overseers E.Ö. and H.A.V. are remanded in custody for the same offense. (TP/VK)
