Women to Demonstrate in Bakırköy, Beyoğlu on March 8

The dates for the March 8 International Women's Day demonstrations in İstanbul have been set.

March 5 in Bakırköy

March 8 Women's Platform calls on all the women to get together on Sunday, March 5 at 1 p.m. in Bakırköy Özgürlük Meydanı (Bakırköy Freedom Square) with the slogan: "Just to spite all those who take decisions and set rules about our lives, bodies and future without asking us, we join all our objections and 'no's on this March 8".

Night march on March 8

The 15th of the traditional "feminist night marches" will take place in the evening of March 8.
Feminists will get together at 7.30 p.m. in front of the French Cultural Center on İstiklal Street and will march to Tunnel Square.

First march, then (after) party

At the end of the night march, women will meet at 9 p.m. at The Mekan for an after party. Headliner Ritim Kolektif will follow DJs Didem and Haziran on the stage.

As with every Feminist Night Walk and after party, no non-trans men are allowed. (ÇT/DG)
