In a video released by the Iraqi Christian Relief Council, people have said, "Where is Hurmüz Diril? Find him. We demand justice for Şimuni Diril" in Assyrian, Turkish, Kurdish, Arabic, Russian, Gujarat, Spanish, Polish, Tagalog, German, Vietnamese and Persian.
Monday (January 11) marked the first year since the Chaldean couple got missing in the Syriac village of Mehri (Kovankaya) in Beytüşşebap district in Turkey's southeastern province of Şırnak. On this occasion, the council has prepared a video in 12 languages and demanded that Hurmüz Diril be found and the death of Şimuni Diril be solved.
Şimuni Diril and Hurmüz Diril went missing in their village in Şırnak on January 11, 2020. While the dead body of Şimuni Diril was found by their son Kemal Diril on the shore of a brook some 800 meters away from their house 70 days later, Hurmüz Diril is still missing.

Founded by Assyrian activist Julyana Taimoorazy in 2007, Iraqi Christian Relief Council, a Syriac Christian civil society organization, has made a call in its video and said, "Where is Hurmüz Diril? We want justice for Şimuni Diril." The video also features what has happened since the Chaldean couple was reported missing by their children.
"There are still unanswered questions despite several international efforts," says the video, where several people, including the children of the couple, make a call for Şimuni and Hurmüz Diril. (AÖ/SD)
