Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca has shared the number of weekly novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases per 100 thousand people by provinces.
According to the map covering the week of March 19-25, 2022, the number of weekly cases saw a decrease in İstanbul, İzmir and Ankara.
When compared to the previous week (March 12-18), the number of cases per 100 thousand people decreased from 239.48 to 196.06 in İstanbul while it dropped from 395.38 to 290.83 in the capital city of Ankara and from 247.16 to 113.95 in the Aegean province of İzmir.
The highest weekly number of cases per 100 thousand people was seen in Eskişehir with 547.21 cases; it was followed by Kırklareli (402.33), Çanakkale (392.8), Edirne (310.59) and Bilecik (301.75). As for the provinces with the lowest number of weekly cases on March 19-25, they were Van (7.71), Şırnak (9.33), Şanlıurfa (10.36), Hakkari (10.42) and Muş (14.07).
