Educators Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça who were on 324th day of their hunger strike, which they went on demanding that they be reinstated to their jobs, have announced that the State of Emergency Commission has rejected their applications, they ended the hunger strike and they will continue to struggle to go back to their works.
Nuriye Gülmen, Semih Özakça, Esra Özakça who was on the 249th day of her hunger strike, Mehmet Güveli who was on the 210th day of his hunger strike, doctors from the Ankara Chamber of Medicine (ATO) and lawyers from the People’s Law Bureau attended the statement issued for the press at home of Esra Özakça and Semih Özakça in Ankara.

Gülmen and Özakça told the acquisitions of the Yüksek Street demonstrations and hunger strike, and thanked the people who supported. They announced that they ended the hunger strike.
The educators stated that they will be on Yüksel Street after the medical treatment in hospital, which will take for six weeks, according to the ATO.
Their lawyers expressed that there is 60 days of reclamation period to the Commission for Examining State of Emergency Practices and will apply to the administrative court.
