President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has met with the head persons of villages in the 38th Village Head's Meeting in the Presidential Palace yesterday (June 1).
Sharing some information and making remarks on the current issues on agenda, Erdoğan said that a wall was to be built on the entire Syrian border and after its completion the same would be done on the Iraqi border as well as on the proper spots of the Iranian border.

The Housing Development Administration (TOKİ) is completing the rest of the wall whose 200 km has already been completed. A wall will have been built on the 911-km Syrian border when it is completed.
Also a razor wire barrier will be placed above the wall along the border line consisting of 2 meters wide, 3 meters high blocks which weigh 7 tonnes.
Erdoğan stated that the wall would "avoid entrance and exits by terrorists and gun transfers".
Third longest wall after China and Israel
When the wall is completed, it will be the third longest wall after the Great Wall of China with the length of 3,460 km and Israeli-Palestinian wall of 1,120 km.
There is a 455-km wall on US-Mexican border. One of pledges of president candidate, Donald Trump is to close the whole border with a wall. (AS/DG)
